On-site robotic fabrication aided by simulations
TubeHouse tests the limits of robotic fabrication in an integrated construction environment. Focusing on a single-story house on a narrow lot allows for a wide range of possibilities with even limited robotic resources, in this case a few robotic arms on rails. A simulated version of the construction site is used to train computer vision models that guide the robot arms on site, with the ability to detect conflicts and adjust accordingly.
